Day 5:Pedal Through the “Most Beautiful Valley in the World”

After a peaceful breakfast at Hotel Union Øye, pack your lunch and get ready for a day of exploration on two wheels. Today’s adventure takes you into Norangsdalen, that some refer to as “the most beautiful valley in the world”—and once you’re there, it’s easy to see why. Pedal past towering cliffs, crystal-clear streams, and the mysterious Lyngstølvatnet, where the ruins of old farmsteads lie visible beneath the surface of the lake—a hauntingly beautiful reminder of nature’s power and the valley’s rich history. If you’re up for more, continue your ride down to the fjord and follow the coastline toward Urke and Urkedalen, perhaps all the way up to Myrsætra for sweeping views and a rewarding climb. This part of Sunnmøre offers cycling at its most scenic and peaceful. Return to Hotel Union Øye at your preferred time and round off the day with a refined three-course dinner, surrounded by the quiet grandeur of the mountains and fjord.

While there are no technical requirements, you should be comfortable with moderate hikes (2–5 hours), sometimes on uneven or steep terrain, and used to being physically active across several days.
