Immerse yourself in thrilling nature-based adventures guided by our seasoned experts, while also having the freedom to tailor your own itinerary. Discover awe-inspiring mountains, breathtaking coastal gems, and ancient forests that promise unforgettable memories for years to come.

What’s new?

Norrøna Adventure is divided into two distinct departments; One department that since 2017 has organized tours in Norway for both Norwegians and foreigners with  Norwegian/English-speaking guides, and another department that for over 40 years has organized trips abroad for Norwegians, with Norwegian-speaking guides. A new addition this year is that we are now offering selected group trips abroad for participants from all countries. These tours start and end at the destination we visit, providing participants with the flexibility to extend their journey before or after the group tour. We believe that going on trips with individuals from diverse backgrounds will broaden perspectives and enhance the overall experience. While some tours will be led by Norrøna Adventure guides, others will be led by knowledgeable local guides with whom we maintain a close collaboration. English will be the primary language on trips involving international participants.

- Adventures off the beaten track

What distinguishes all our trips is our commitment to providing unique and unconventional adventures off the beaten path. Our itineraries offer opportunities to immerse yourself in nature, culture, and local communities. We prioritize ensuring that every participant, regardless of skill level, has the best possible experience and achieves a sense of mastery. With a focus on authentic experiences, we elude mass tourism, opting instead for small group sizes that foster a welcoming social atmosphere among like-minded travelers. Our participants, ranging from 20 to 70 years old, represent a balanced mix of genders and share an interest in active, nature-based adventures. Whether you prefer a customized itinerary or a group journey, with or without a guide, we accommodate your preferences without any additional charges for solo travelers sharing accommodations. Single room options are available for the majority of our trips.

Where do our tours go?

To several continents!

First off, we’ll highlight an exhilarating mountain trip in South Africa, where we hike and camp in the legendary Drakensberg Mountains. Following our mountain adventure we embark on a wild game safari, while relishing the experience of overnighting at a comfortable safari lodge. Our journey concludes in the bustling metropolis of Cape Town, featuring a day hike of Table Mountain and full immersion into city life on the Cape.

The enchanting journey to Colombia presents a captivating blend of mountains, coffee plantations, and the Caribbean coast. Throughout the trip, we'll stay overnight at coffee farms, in tents, and in hotels, gaining insight into the country's rich cultural landscape. This mountain excursion promises a series of unforgettable highlights.

If you are looking for an even greater challenge, you can test yourself on our mini-expedition in Patagonia. Beginning on the eastern side of the Andes, we ascend through valleys adorned with azure lakes. After several days in the mountains, we venture onto the ice  equipped with snowshoes and ropes, fully immersing ourselves in the experience of expedition life. Throughout our mountain journey, we carry equipment, cook meals, boil water, and establish camp daily. When the mountain trek is over, we enjoy a couple of days in the charming town of El Chaltén, Argentina's trekking capital.

Ireland is an island full of folklore and a place that is known by many names. Among its various titles are "The Green Island" and the "Emerald Isle," both of which aptly reflect the island's enchanting allure amidst the vast Atlantic. Our week-long hike in Ireland offers an immersive journey on foot, allowing us to intimately experience the lush landscapes, breathtaking cliffs, and renowned Irish hospitality. And, of course, no trip would be complete without a visit to the vibrant city of Dublin.

Are you passionate about paddling and seeking even more exotic destinations? If so, consider joining us for a sea kayaking adventure in East Greenland. Over the course of six days, we navigate through a truly unique natural environment, keeping watch for polar bears as we camp in tents along the way. Perhaps we'll even catch fresh fish for dinner? The journey concludes with a stay in a cozy cabin by Tinit, offering a splendid nature experience from the boat that transports us to the remote cabin. If you're interested in extending your trip with a few days in Iceland, either before or after Greenland, we're happy to assist you with arrangements.

For the thrill-seeking adventurer, we highly recommend our newly launched trail bike tours in either the Dolomites of Italy or the Atlas Mountains of Morocco. These 8-day excursions provide an opportunity to experience the untamed beauty of these mountainous regions from the saddle of a mountain bike. Throughout the journey, certified mountain bike guide(s) accompany us every pedal stroke of the way.
