Join us for an all-inclusive 3-day freeride festival in Chamonix, France, with Norrøna and Gore-Tex. Experience the unique French Alps as you ski down the Vallée Blanche from Aiguille du Midi, taking in breathtaking views. Participate in various freeride clinics with Norrøna ambassadors and local guides, test Norrøna products, listen to inspiring presentations, enjoy local French cuisine, après-ski, and much more!

This is a 3-day festival where you can participate in different freeride clinics with our ambassadors and local guides. Sign up for a steep ski clinic with skiing icon Chris Davenport (US), ski down the breathtaking Vallée Blanche glacier, enhance your avalanche knowledge, or check out a freestyle clinic with freeriders Benjamin Forthun (N) and Christian Nummedal (N). If you'd prefer to simply enjoy skiing while getting some pro tips from our local guides, you can do that too!

Throughout the long weekend, you’ll have the chance to test Norrøna products, enjoy inspiring presentations, and attend tech talks from our ambassadors. After a full day of skiing, relax at the local après-ski bar, Moö, in downtown Chamonix, enjoy a delicious dinner, and unwind in the outdoor swimming pool and spa at the hotel.

This festival is located in Chamonix, in the heart of the French Alps. Chamonix is a vibrant town known for its world-class skiing and mountaineering. With vast, snow-capped mountains towering over the town, the scenery is among the most spectacular in the French Alps. Accommodation

We offer double rooms with two separate beds. Please provide the name of your travel companion on the booking form. If you are traveling alone, we will ensure you share a room with someone of the same gender.

Single rooms can be booked for an additional cost (5,700 NOK).

We will be staying at the newly renovated Hotel: Le Refuge Des Aiglonsa 4-star hotel located in the center of Chamonix. It’s spacious, inviting, and designed to be a home away from home for sports enthusiasts, food lovers, families, and business travelers. This is an ideal, cozy, modern, lively, and convenient mountain lodge with a cheerful and trendy atmosphere.

Relax in the spacious lounge, enjoy a signature cocktail at the bar, unwind in the sauna and outdoor swimming pool, or savor a traditional local lunch at the restaurant—all while keeping the majestic mountains in sight.

Transport

The closest airport to Chamonix is Geneva. We will arrange a shuttle from Geneva Airport to Chamonix. If you are traveling from Geneva Airport and need transport to Chamonix, please send us your flight details.

Transport from the hotel to the activities will be organized and is included in the price.

Norrøna ambassadors and courses

Several of Norrøna's freeride ambassadors will participate in the festival, and you can sign up for various courses and trips with them. Registration for courses and trips will be sent out closer to the festival date. You can participate in various courses and trips each day.

Our local guides are well-known in Chamonix and are both skiers and snowboarders.

Day 1:Arrival

Arrive in Chamonix at our hotel, Le Refuge Des Aiglons. We will meet in the afternoon at about 6pm, to go over the program for the following days. You will meet the Norrøna ambassadors and guides, and we will serve refreshments and snacks before we enjoy dinner together.

Each group will have its own ski shuttle, allowing flexibility to adapt to conditions. During the clinics, you will receive pro tips from our ambassadors and local guides. Lunch will be enjoyed in the mountains. After a day of skiing, you can explore the beautiful town of Chamonix, relax in the spa, enjoy après-ski, or do as you please before we meet for an inspiring presentation in the afternoon. The day will end with a delicious dinner together.

Travel insurance

On all our trips we require you to have full health and accident insurance which will also cover any transport home. Read more about travel insurance.

Equipment list

This list is intended as a guideline, so that we have what we need regardless of the weather we get on the trip. Remember that you can also get used hiking equipment that works perfectly. Get in touch if you have any questions. TIP: We recommend that you have the most important hiking equipment in your hand luggage, for example hiking boots and gore-tex jacket/trousers.

2 sets. Not too thick, wear multiple layers if necessary.

High enough to reach above the boot shaft is reccommended.

Gore-Tex or similar. Must have a decent hood, and hold out wind and rain. Should have space for midlayers underneath. Ventilation under the arms is recommended.

For protection against cold wind and snow.

Split board, ski touring or telemark skis. Poles with large/powder baskets. Check that your boots fits the bindings.
