Join us for an all-inclusive 3-day freeride festival in Chamonix, France, with Norrøna and Gore-Tex. Experience the unique French Alps as you ski down the Vallée Blanche from Aiguille du Midi, taking in breathtaking views. Participate in various freeride clinics with Norrøna ambassadors and local guides, test Norrøna products, listen to inspiring presentations, enjoy local French cuisine, après-ski, and much more!

This is a 3-day festival where you can participate in different freeride clinics with our ambassadors and local guides. Sign up for a steep ski clinic with skiing icon Chris Davenport (US), ski down the breathtaking Vallée Blanche glacier, enhance your avalanche knowledge, or check out a freestyle clinic with freeriders Benjamin Forthun (N) and Christian Nummedal (N). If you'd prefer to simply enjoy skiing while getting some pro tips from our local guides, you can do that too!

Throughout the long weekend, you’ll have the chance to test Norrøna products, enjoy inspiring presentations, and attend tech talks from our ambassadors. After a full day of skiing, relax at the local après-ski bar, Moö, in downtown Chamonix, enjoy a delicious dinner, and unwind in the outdoor swimming pool and spa at the hotel.

  • This clinic focuses on building confidence, refining technique, and exploring the legendary off-piste terrain, guided by our female Norrøna Ambassadors.

Lift based freeride avalanche awareness - NEW 

  • Combines lift-accessed freeride skiing with essential avalanche training. Learn risk management techniques, how to read terrain and snow conditions, and practice group rescue and first aid for avalanche scenarios.

Steep skiing:

  • For experienced skiers looking to push their limits on exposed, technical terrain.
  • Learn essential techniques such as abseiling into lines, building and evaluating anchors, rope handling, and proper use of an ice axe

  • Focuses on learning essential backcountry skills, including, terrain reading, and efficient touring techniques

Accommodation and Transport

We offer double rooms with two separate beds. Please provide the name of your travel companion on the booking form. If you are traveling alone, we will ensure you share a room with someone of the same gender.

Single rooms can be booked for an additional cost.

We will be staying at the newly renovated Hotel Les Aiglons Chamonix a 4-star hotel located in the center of Chamonix. It’s spacious, inviting, and designed to be a home away from home for sports enthusiasts, food lovers, families, and business travelers. This is an ideal, cozy, modern, lively, and convenient mountain lodge with a cheerful and trendy atmosphere.

Relax in the spacious lounge, enjoy a signature cocktail at the bar, unwind in the sauna and outdoor swimming pool, or savor a traditional local lunch at the restaurant—all while keeping the majestic mountains in sight.

Transport

The closest airport to Chamonix is Geneva. We will arrange one shuttle from Geneva Airport to Chamonix at a given time. Exact time of the shuttle will be sent out. 

Transport from the hotel to the activities will be organized and is included in the price.

Day 1:Arrival

Arrive in Chamonix at our hotel, Les Aiglons Chamonix. We will meet in the afternoon at about 6pm, to go over the program for the following days. You will meet the Norrøna ambassadors and guides, and we will serve refreshments and snacks before we enjoy dinner together.

Breakfast is enjoyed at our accommodation, followed by a briefing for the day. We will have divided into different groups before we head out for a day of skiing. All groups will have their own ski shuttle, so that you are flexible to follow the conditions. During the clinics you will be given pro tips from our ambassadors and local guides. We will bring lunch that you can enjoy out in the mountains. When we get back from a day of skiing you can enjoy the beautiful town of Chamonix, relax in the spa, apres ski or whatever you feel like before we meet for an inspiring presentation in the afternoon. We will end the day with a delicious dinner together.

3-nights at the hotel: Le Refuge Des Aiglons.

Double room with two beds. Write the name of who you are traveling with. If you are traveling alone, we will team you up with someone of the same gender.

Travel insurance

Equipment list

This list is intended as a guideline, so that we have what we need regardless of the weather we get on the trip. Remember that you can also get used hiking equipment that works perfectly. Get in touch if you have any questions. TIP: We recommend that you have the most important hiking equipment in your hand luggage, for example hiking boots and gore-tex jacket/trousers.

2 sets of top and bottom. Not too thick, instead use multiple layers.

High enough to reach above the boot shaft is reccommended.
