Difficulty & Preparation

This is an introductory level mountain biking trip that is suitable for riders with some level of experience. There is a great variety of different trails, gravel roads and some paved sections throughout this trip. Some sections of single track trail can be challenging, which can of course also be walked. Good physical condition and a solid riding technique on trails up to S1 (scored by using the Single Track Scale, which classifies natural trails 0-5) are therefore the essential prerequisites for enjoying this multi-day tour to the fullest.

We are biking +/- 50 km daily for seven days. Most of the trails we ride on are singletracks and gravel roads with some sections of paved roads. If you are comfortable with long days in the saddle and enjoy a more cross country style mountain biking trip than this trip is perfect for you. We reccommend participants train with long rides in the mountains on single track trails and gravel roads to best prepare themselves for this trip.

Visa, Vaccines and Health

Before embarking on our journey together, we kindly remind all tour participants to check their respective country's visa status and vaccination requirements. Ensuring your travel documents are in order is a crucial step in guaranteeing a smooth and hassle-free adventure. Passports must be valid for at least 6 months after the date of return.

Always consult with your country's official travel advisory or consulate for the most accurate and current information on entry requirements and health guidelines for your destination.

If you are 67+ years, you should undergo a comprehensive medical check-up before the trip. Inform your doctor that it involves physical exertion.

It is important that you complete all sections of the registration form (especially where we request health and allergy information) and let us know if there is anything we need to be aware of before and during the trip.

Relevant health information that may affect the trip should also be communicated to the guide at the start of the tour. Please note that if you are on regular medications, have known allergies, or similar conditions, you should always have your personal medications with you.

Additional Information

International flights are not included on this trip so it is important to check whether the departure is guaranteed or not before booking your international flights for the trip. On each departure, we must have a minimum number of confirmed participants before we can guarantee the departure.

On this trip, we will stay in various types of accommodations, with a strong emphasis on embracing local and traditional settings.

In Piran we have time to assemble our bikes after the flight, and for those renting bikes here, we can make individual adjustments to customize them. After the bike trip, we will also have time here to disassemble the bikes and pack them for the flight home.
