Festival Community Vibes
Since the beginning, Norrøna’s festivals have been more than just events – they’re immersive experiences designed to build community among outdoor enthusiasts. Whether it's ski touring in Chamonix, ice climbing in Rjukan, or now, trail running at Norrøna Canvas, each festival is an opportunity to challenge yourself, test cutting-edge gear, and share unforgettable moments with like-minded adventurers.
At Norrøna Trail Running Festival, you’ll experience expert-led trail runs, unwind with yoga, and enjoy laid-back evenings with great food, a swim in the lake, a sauna session, and inspiring stories.
The destination
Canvas Hotel is truly "off the grid." No permanent infrastructure has been built for the camp. If the camp were to be taken down, traces in nature would disappear within a few years.
At first glance, Canvas resembles an African safari lodge. Traditional Kyrgyz yurts and specially designed tented cabins, made from durable canvas fabric, are scattered throughout the landscape. Small bridges connect the hotel to trails on either side of this small island, allowing trail running adventures to begin right from the heart of the hotel. You can choose to relax in the wood-fired saunas or one of our outdoor bathtubs. Alternatively, retreat to your yurt for some quiet time before and after enjoying meals that are just as unique as the hotel itself.
Norrøna ambassadors
Norrøna’s trail running athletes will be present at the festival, sharing their experience, knowledge, and passion for trail running and the outdoors. They are all looking forward to meeting you!
Join us for an unforgettable weekend of trail running, community, and adventure.

Overnatting
Experience the magic of staying in luxurious yurts, in the middle of the Telemark wilderness. Here, ancient traditions are combined with modern comfort. The yurts are equipped with Hästens beds, and each yurt has its own wood-burning stove and private toilet. In addition, the restaurant and spa/shower facilities are only a few meters away, making your stay both convenient and unforgettable.
At Canvas Hotel you stay in luxurious yurts that set a high standard for glamping. The tents are made of durable canvas and are insulated with wool.
We have Hästens beds at the hotel so that you can get a good night's sleep in quiet surroundings with down duvets and pillows. There is a glass dome in the roof of the yurts so you can look at the starry sky while lying under the duvet.
To dry clothes, heat the yurts and create maximum coziness, the tents are equipped with wood stoves. They are easy to light and provide very good heat.
When you wake up in the morning, we deliver coffee to your doorstep so you wake up slowly with a brew that is ground with a hand grinder that is almost 100 years old. Enjoy in bed or take it with you to enjoy by the fire as the sun comes to life.
Transport
You need a car to get to Canvas Telemark. We will collect your luggage from the parking lot. We will be trail running to get to Canvas Hotel.
