Norrøna Senja

Norway's second largest island, Senja, is known for its striking landscape with steep mountains plunging into the sea, secluded beaches, valleys and deep fjords. A perfect place for skiing, hiking, surfing and whale watching.
As part of our mission to create the world's best outdoor products and unique nature experiences, we are now planning to establish a small nature hotel for outdoor enthusiasts.

In a remote location on the west coast of Senja, we want to shape the hotel as an extension of the journey out into nature. The hotel will have a subdued expression that does not distract from its surroundings. It is the mountains and the sea that will dominate.

We have joined forces with the internationally renowned architecture studio Dorte Mandrup and the consulting company TID Studio. Dorte Mandrup is already known as the architect of The Whale, the landmark building that will now be built on the island of Andenes.
