Crisp Arctic air greets you as you step off the plane in Longyearbyen, Svalbard's main settlement. A thrilling mix of anticipation and rugged beauty hangs in the air. This remote outpost, nestled amidst snow-capped peaks, promises an unforgettable adventure unlike any other. Welcome to the land of glaciers, midnight sun, and polar bears – your Arctic odyssey begins here. Dinner tonight: In front of a large campfire inside, we get served some drinks, a delicious homemade reindeer bidos and coffee and dessert. Then it is time to learn more about the northern lights. We will sit around the fire, while our host shares information and photographs explaining this incredible phenomenon. Far from the artificial lights in town, you have the perfect conditions for enjoying the northern lights. With some luck, we will round off the evening by watching it with our own eyes in the sky outside. After the delicious meal we will return to the accommodation.

Conquer the snow and explore the ice: Your Svalbard ice cave adventure awaits! Board a powerful snowcat and traverse pristine snowfields. Reaching the glacier, descend into a hidden world sculpted by nature. Headlamps illuminate glittering ice formations, towering sculptures, and captivating layers of compressed snow. This incredible journey into the heart of the Arctic is an experience you won't forget. Prepare to be captivated by Svalbard's frozen beauty. Activity of the evening: Hike the Summit of the Seed Vault. An exciting evening hike to the top of Blomsterdalshøgda at 320 meters above sea level, with a stunning view over the local area and Adventfjorden as our reward. Experience the rich history of coal mining in this area on Svalbard, where Coal Mine #3 can be seen from the summit, and the remains of the coal mining period are there as cultural heritage.

We will pick you up at your hotel, just like the miners used to be picked up. On the way to the mine, you will hear about the most important local sights before being met by the guide at Mine 3. Mine 3 is located on the mountainside above the airport in Longyearbyen. On the way to the mine entrance, we pass the global seed vault. Here we arrive at the facility with great views of the Adventfjord. It has been 20 years since the miners lay on the ground and extracted the black gold from the mountain. What was it like to work in the mines at Svalbard? Here you can experience a miner's everyday life. We will equip you with a helmet and headlamp and take you on a cultural and historical hike deep into the mountains. The guide will tell you stories about life in Longyearbyen, how the miners lived and what society used to be like. In the evening you will go Northern Lights hunting with an electric snowmobile. Here you will get equipped with a scooter dress, boots, balaclava, helmet and mittens, before going to the scooters that are waiting for us outside. The guide will show you how the scooter works and how to drive it – then it’s time to head out into the dark wilderness!

After enjoying breakfast, dogsledding awaits! A mysterious time when only the moon, maybe the northern lights and the stars contribute to the magical light. Polar Night is best experienced behind a team of dogs that glide through the landscape without a sound! During this trip you will get to know your team of dogs and prepare them for the trip yourself. Experience the Arctic silence, the power of the dogs and if we are lucky; the Northern lights. In the evening ascend a mountain ridge that offers breathtaking panoramic views of the nearby glaciers and the Isfjord. Enjoy the majestic landscape while you indulge in locally-sourced delicacies. Freshly caught Arctic char, reindeer carpaccio, and cloudberry desserts tantalize your taste buds. It is not just a meal; it is an unforgettable culinary experience woven into the very fabric of Svalbard's magic.
