Aurora Sail

We meet in Tromsø at 4 PM and are greeted onboard by our skipper and crew. When we are settled onboard, we head out for the adventure. We sail a little way north away from the city lights to a secluded anchorage out in the wild. Here we enjoy a delicious dinner onboard, with our unique Arctic Fusion menu. After dessert, the sauna and hot-tub will be warm. Sitting in the hot-tub on deck, in the crisp winter air, under the arctic nightsky, is an experience in itself! And if we are lucky, maybe we could get a visit from our bellowed friend, Aurora.

If the weather allowed us to anchor out here, we are waking up at Sandøya. A beautiful little mountain island in the outer archipelago. After a delicious breakfast, we head to shore to explore this island kingdom, and spend a few hours hiking in the daylight we got. Maybe we find some ingredients for dinner in the tidal zone. Well onboard again lunch is ready for us, as we set sail between the islands south towards Ersfjorden, one of our favourite places in the area. The waters around us are teeming with life, and we will try our Haill, to see if we can provide the kitchen with fresh caught fish for the dinner. If tonight is clear, we will spend it around the bonfire under the stars. What a day!

Hopefully our cameras are full of green and purple this morning as we wake to our last day onboard. We enjoy our breakfast with local specialties, lift anchor and set sail towards Sommarøy. This is an alive and picturesque fishing village at the end of the road, at the brim of the big ocean, where a big part of the coastal fishing out of Tromsø is done. We will anchor here, take a trip on land to have a stroll through Værre’, admire their beautiful beaches, and have a coffee at a local cafe. Onboard again we set sail back to where we started, and will be served a delicious lunch on our way back. We end our adventure in Tromsø at 5 PM.
