Enthusiastic Mountain Guide who began guiding for Norrøna Adventure in 2023.
For Tore, the outdoors is about more than just activities; it's a lifestyle where he plays in nature, climbing, skiing, biking, hunting, and fishing. Based in the picturesque Skjomen, near Narvik, he often ventures out to explore the mountains in his "backyard."
Educated at Nortind, Tore is a UIAGM/IFMGA certified Mountain Guide with extensive training and experience in steep outdoor life. His certification entails in-depth knowledge of mountain climbing, safety, navigation, and facilitation for both beginners and experienced practitioners. Tore is passionate about sharing his love for nature with others and aims to inspire people to experience the majestic Norwegian landscape up close.

What do you always bring in your backpack? First aid, a knife, a lighter, a compass, and a bivvy bag.
What do you actively do in your daily life to reduce your CO2 footprint? I stay home in Skjomen and use the mountains in my "backyard" to play and harvest food for my own use.
What is your favorite place in the world?Where I am at the moment.
What advice would you give to a 10-year-old version of yourself?
Appreciate your freedom and don’t take it for granted.
What hobbies do you enjoy outside of hiking?
Training, brewing beer, carpentry, chopping wood, and making/eating good food.
If you could choose one superpower, what would it be and why?
X-ray vision, so I can see what the snow cover looks like under my feet at all times and understand the structure of the rock I'm climbing on. It would make my days in the mountains a bit safer, and I wouldn't have to worry as much about objective dangers.
