Snorre Sulheim
Snorre is an IFMGA Certified Mountain Guide who guides ski touring trips for Norrøna Adventure, operating both from land and from Varg, our sailboat based in Northern Norway.
He has been working as a mountain guide since 2006, and completed his IFMGA certification in 2025. In addition, he holds a Master of Science in Engineering Physics and a PhD in Biotechnology, but has put his long-standing research career on hold to focus on full-time guiding. Snorre is intimately familiar with Jotunheimen—his second home—which he frequents often both summer and winter. He also has extensive experience with skiing and climbing in steep mountains outside of Jotunheimen, both in Norway and abroad; reaching up to 6000 meters in Peru, the USA including Alaska, Canada, New Zealand, and the Alps. When he is not guiding, Snorre enjoys spending time with his family in Bergen, where he lives. Furthermore, he loves to stay active with pursuits such as running, cross-country skiing, climbing, summit touring, and ice climbing.
