Oddbjørn Alstad
Oddbjørn has been involved in the game since the start in 1996. He has worked as both a guide and office staff at the company and has extensive experience with mountains, trekking, and people. He has a versatile background from the military, worked as a ski guide for several winters in the Alps, been involved in rescue operations and outdoor equipment, worked as a ski coach, and taught outdoor education.
Oddbjørn is trained as a guide in outdoor education and holds a Master's degree in Sports Science from the Norwegian School of Sport Sciences. He has had all types of skis under his feet throughout his life and is still most passionate about skiing, though he is ready for almost any physical and playful challenge. On trips, Oddbjørn is known for his abundant energy, both in his feet and his mood. He scores high on the social scale. Oddbjørn believes that going on trips is one of the best things in life and enjoys a smiling curiosity toward people, cultures, and nature.
Few have guided more trips to the top of Kilimanjaro than Oddbjørn. He has extensive experience from Mount Kenya, Everest Base Camp, Imja Tse, the Annapurna massif, Tibet, Greenland, Svalbard, and much more. Additionally, he has a wealth of travel experience from many countries in Asia and Africa, including the Atlas Mountains, Elbrus, and the Rwenzori Mountains in Uganda, as well as mountain and skiing experience from Switzerland, Austria, and France.
