Mats Eirik Linaae
Mats is the man of many languages, and speaks both English, German and Spanish in addition to Norwegian. A happy and enthusiastic outdoor guide with background from educational and language studies.
Mats is an experienced outdoorsman with a big smile. His passion for nature and the outdoors comes to show as soon as you meet him. The Norwegian mountains - both summer and winter - is where he has his heart, and you can meet him hiking or skiing. Though he also travelled the world, and he has a great deal of high altitude experience from trips to high mountains abroad- as Aconcagua, Elbrus, Kilimanjaro and Cotopaxi.
Where did you grow up?
I'm from Gjøvik, the eastern part of Norway.
Where do you call home at the moment?
I live in Oslo.
Activities
Cross country and alpine skiing, hiking.

I started in 2018.

What do you always bring in your backpack?
Down jacket, map, compass.
What do you do in your daily life to reduce your CO2 footprint?
I eat little meat and use public transportation in Oslo!
What is your favorite place in the world?
Norwegian mountains!
What kind of advice would you give a 10 year old version of yourself?
Relax and follow your dreams.
What is your hobbies/what do you like spending the time on outside work and the outdoor activities?
Drawing, attending jazz concerts.
What is your hidden talent?
I have a good singing voice.
If you could choose a super power, what would it be and why?
To be able to fly. Gliding like an eagle between the mountains, seeing the world from above must be wonderful.
