Jostein Heidenstrøm
An adventurous and active guy who has a great passion for nature and adventure based travel.
Born in Telemark, Jostein grew up in Hurum and now resides in a sailing boat in the heart of the Sunnmøre Alps. He has many interests and loves the variety Norway offers. He is often on walks in forests and mountains, whether on his feet or with skis. His enthusiam spans a broad spectrum, from snowboarding, cycling, climbing, kayaking, snorkeling, surfing to sailing. Jostein attended the Kon-Tiki 2 expedition where he sailed for 6 weeks from Peru to Easter Island on a bale raft. He has written a bachelor's degree in outdoor life and now studies as a nature guide in Western Norway.
Jostein loves everything from small day trip and weekend trips to longer adventures all year round. Mountain trips from Finse to Trolltunga in tents, sail bale rafts, mountain skiing in Svalbard and climbing mountains over 6000 meters above sea level in Bolivia are examples of some of the longer trips that drive him. He thrive in all kinds of weather, under the open sky, on tents, in the hammock and in the snow cave.
