Magnus Hendis
CEO
Magnus has worked full-time in the office since 2017, but started guiding for the company in 2011. In addition to being the managing director for international tours, he is responsible for our expeditions to high mountains and long ski tours, and regularly guides many of these trips himself.
He is also responsible for all our guides, including recruitment, follow-up, and further development. Additionally, he works with health, safety, and procedures for the practical execution of trips for the guides.
Magnus has a background from the Norwegian School of Sport Sciences - Master’s in Sports Science with a specialization in Outdoor Studies, and Oslo University College - Development Studies (including fieldwork on Mount Kilimanjaro in Tanzania). Before joining Norrøna Adventure, he worked at a startup company with specialized expertise in access techniques (rope work) and safe practices for working at height. Additionally, Magnus has worked since 2002 (both full-time and part-time alongside his studies) in several specialty stores focusing on sports and outdoor activities, including Braasport, Oslo Sportslager, and Sportsnett. He thus has a varied background that is highly valuable in Hvitserk’s diverse day-to-day operations."
