Joakim is a highly experienced and globally-minded professional with a deep passion for adventure travel. His broad experience in outdoor activities and safety, combined with a strong academic background and diverse international living experiences, makes him an invaluable asset to our team.
His personal interests in outdoor and adventure activities such as skiing, hiking and trail running align perfectly with the adventure experiences we offer. Also, Joakim's extensive travels and periods living abroad in locations such as Alaska, Canada, Argentina, Japan, Switzerland, France, Italy, Spain, and India have provided him with invaluable cultural insights and a broad global perspective.
He brings extensive experience in outdoor and adventure activities, coupled with a strong foundation in safety. His AST2 (Avalanche Skills Training Level 2) certification and APSI Ski Instructor Level 2 and CANSI XC Instructor Level 1 qualifications provide a deep understanding of snow environments and related skills. His high-altitude experience, including expeditions in the Andes (5,000-5,500 masl) and Kilimanjaro, highlights his practical capabilities in challenging and remote settings.
Joakim also holds a BA in Development Studies from the University of Oslo and an MA in International Cooperation from Turin, Italy. This strong academic background, combined with practical experience from organizations like the United Nations Road Safety Fund, equips him with a structured approach to complex projects and international collaboration.
