Antoine Debruyne
Adventure Specialist Norway (Temp. position)
Antoine grew up among the snow-covered mountains of the French Alps, and his passion for mountains and outdoor life brought him to Norway in 2017. He guides kayak and hiking tours—ranging from day trips to expeditions—and also works in ski patrol. In winter, he spends his free time doing ski mountaineering. Antoine speaks French, Norwegian, and English.
Growing up in the French Alps, Antoine quickly developed an interest in skiing and outdoor life—the mountains always called for new adventures. Throughout his childhood, he was active in both a ski club and an alpine club. He came to Norway in 2017, earned a bachelor’s degree in "Management and Leadership of Outdoor and Sports Activities," and became familiar with the Norwegian way of exploring nature—a life-changing experience.
In addition to working in ski patrol, Antoine has also been a ski instructor and has guided many hiking and kayaking tours. He is certified as a mountain bike instructor through his studies, and has completed a first aid course from NOLS — "Wilderness First Aid."
Outdoor life is both his passion and profession, and he wants to share this joy with others so they can experience Norway the same way he has. Antoine firmly believes that we experience nature best when we share it with others.
