Traning and preparations

This is an active trip suited for people who enjoy being outdoors and trying new things. You don’t need previous experience in activities like rafting, kayaking, horseback riding, or canyoning—all technical equipment is included, and guides will walk you through everything. However, you should be comfortable being physically active for several hours a day, and used to hiking on uneven terrain.

Some of the hikes are short but steep, and the biking and paddling portions require a moderate level of fitness. If you’re up for adventure and enjoy a bit of a challenge, you’ll thrive on this trip.

You’ll be traveling by rental car, so a valid driver’s license and willingness to share driving responsibilities is required.

We recommend packing a duffel bag or soft-sided suitcase for your main luggage (easier to fit in the car and manage at smaller accommodations), as well as a comfortable daypack for food, water, and extra layers during your activities and hikes.

How to get there

Travel to Bergen by international flights. Bergen Flesland Airport is the main gateway to Western Norway with good connections to many major airports in Europe including Paris, Amsterdam, Frankfurt and London. You can also travel to Bergen by train coming from Oslo. This can be booked through the Norwegian rail company VY.
