The Ultimate Mountain Bike Adventure

Your journey begins in Oslo, the vibrant heart of Norway and the birthplace of Norrøna’s outdoor legacy. The day is yours to explore the city’s unique urban-outdoor pulse. We recommend a visit to the Norrøna House at Lysaker—our brand’s flagship and HQ center. Here, you can fine-tune your gear setup, meet with experts, and see the evolution of the equipment you’ll be putting to the test in the days to come. In the evening, enjoy a private welcome dinner featuring seasonal Norwegian ingredients, followed by a final briefing with your lead guide. It’s the perfect time to prep your bike and double-check your kit before we head deep into the wilderness of Telemark tomorrow morning.

After breakfast our private transfer takes us deep into the Telemark. Norrøna Canvas is located deep in the forest and cannot be reached by vehicle. Upon arrival at the trail head our luggage is transferred into camp for us and we can either hike or bike directly into camp. At first glance, Norrøna Canvas resembles a safari lodge, isolated on a private island. During our stay we will stay in yurts equipped with a comfortable bed, wood stove and private toilet, with your bike, restaurant and spa/shower only a few meters away. We live right by the bike path, so after eating lunch, we hop on our bikes to get to know the trails and our bikes. The terrain is varied and offers the best tours for all levels. In the evening we will enjoy a dinner prepared with Norwegian ingredients, combined with an excellent drinks menu and a spectacular view of the lake, before enjoying a good night's sleep in our Hästens beds

You will be woken up with fresh coffee delivered to your yurt, then a hearty breakfast will be served in our restaurant or outdoors. We plan the day based on the weather, guest wishes and biking conditions, so that it is optimal for everyone. Our guides also divide you according to level so that everyone can find a group on a similar experience level. We return for lunch and relax at the camp, or with another activity. Those who want to take an afternoon trip can do so, or you can choose to enjoy the silence of our camp while the others are on their trip. After a full day of biking you can enjoy a well-deserved after-bike session with sauna, swimming, refreshing drinks, and music. As the evening continues, we enjoy a three-course dinner in great company. The night ends with stories around the campfire.

Today we wake up to a delicious breakfast before either going on one last bike ride or spending the morning by the lake. After the activities, we pack up our things and enjoy a nearly lunch together. Afterward, we head to the airport for our flight to the spectacular Lofoten Islands. Upon arrival, it’s time to board the Varg, our home for the next leg of the adventure as we set sail into the heart of the Arctic fjords! We arrive in Evenes at around 8pm and settle into Norrøna Varg S/Y. We then set sail, and enjoy a well-earned dinner under the evening sky.

We sail to a secluded fjord and drop anchor in Kjeldebotn, a remote and wild biking paradise. The terrain offers a mix of technical and flowing trails, with spectacular views at every turn. After a day of riding, we return to the boat to unwind, enjoy a sauna session, and share stories over dinner.

Our adventure today takes us across Efjord and Verdenssvaet, where we drop in on one side and pick up on the other. This point-to-point ride offers some of the most breathtaking scenery of the trip. If there is time or we want to go for a hike it is possible to hike to Kjærna. After an exhilarating day, we sail towards our next destination and enjoy another peaceful night at anchor.

Today, we plan to explore Barøya, a small island with unique trails and a visit to the historic Barøy Lighthouse. This remote spot offers an incredible ride, blending coastal landscapes with deep history. If time or depending on weather we also have the option of biking around Valle, another spectacular spot for biking.

We enjoy a final breakfast together on board the Varg before setting sail back toward Evenes. For those who want one last Arctic experience, there is time for a quick swim in the fjord before we dock. Our journey at sea concludes around 12:00 noon. From the harbor, you will be transferred to the airport for your flight back to Oslo. As you fly south, you get a final view of the mountains and coastlines that have shaped Norrøna’s equipment and history for nearly a century. Arriving back in the capital, the expedition comes full circle. You return with your gear tested by the elements and a firsthand experience of the landscapes that define the Norrøna thread.
