Dogsledding in the Norwegian Mountains

Wilderness trip with our four-legged friends

Dogsledding in the Norwegian Mountains

Wilderness trip with our four-legged friends

From USD 1575

Are you looking for new, exciting experiences this winter? Then this long weekend package may be right up your alley! Over the course of four eventful days, we will take you out into the wilderness - in the outskirts of Jotunheimen - together with our own pack of dogs to get as close to nature as possible. This trip gives you a unique opportunity to experience the Norwegian winter landscape in a different way.

Dogsledding is a perfect winter activity! You will not only get to experience the beautiful Norwegian nature up close, you will also handle your own pack of dogs during the trip. Haven't you tried dog sledding before? No problem. These dogs are used to humans and they are of course very kind.

Highlights

  • Learn how to handle your own pack of dogs
  • Get to know our four-legged friends better during the trip
  • Experience the Norwegian winter landscape from your own dog sled
  • Overnight in glamping cabins, at Øysterli Støl, and at Haugseter
  • Enjoy the view of Norway's largest mountain area, Jotunheimen, during the trip

The trip begins with an introductory course where we go through both equipment and packing in addition to meeting and getting to know the dogs that will join us on the trip. The next day we go out into the wilderness! Once we are here it is only us, our dogs, and the nature around us that we need to focus on. The next few days are spent in Jotunheimen's backyard where we will go from place to place before we travel back again to civilization at the end of the trip.

This trip is run in collaboration with Beito Husky Tours.
